Live Blood Microscopy

performed by viewing a single

drop of blood (obtained by a

simple finger stick) at high

magnification under a phase-contrast or dark-field microscope. The image is viewed simultaneously by the client and the microscopist on a video monitor. In itself, live blood screening with microscopy is not a diagnostic procedure. It is a tool to view the environment of the blood and the condition of the live red and white blood cells and platelets. It is absolutely fascinating to watch the live cells moving around and interacting. Using high powered video microscopy to evaluate the shapes and other properties of the individual blood cells can be very revealing. The different cell formations and blood morphology can be indicative of different conditions in the body including:
Red blood cell activity
White blood cell activity
Hydration
Mineralization
pH
Free-radical stress
Heavy metal toxicity
Presence of parasites, funguses, yeasts, and molds
Digestive problems
Protein assimilation
Most of these conditions can be improved through hydration, dietary changes or nutritional supplementation. The efficacy of the changes can be monitored by reviewing the blood again after some period of time. In some cases, further diagnostic testing is recommended and should be performed by a doctor.
